(There was construction activity completed on Saturday, September 29th)

• The contractor worked on the north side of Monroe Street NE Bridge within the construction zone: placed concrete deck spans and center span sidewalk; started prep work of the concrete repairs at west abutment and pier crash wall (phase 2); continued wet curing for the previously placed concrete deck; continued form work for final two placements of the sidewalk and approach; saw cut for the full depth pavement at 8th and 9th Streets; started excavation for the proposed utilities between Monroe and Lawrence Street on 8th Street; placed concrete deck sidewalks and east and west approach slabs; utility company was on site installing cable at 8th and 9th Street intersections. There were no lane closures needed to complete this week’s construction activity. All traffic was maintained with two open-lanes, eastbound and westbound.

• Due to construction, there is no parking on Monroe Street from 7th - 8th Street NE.

• Signs directing motorist and bicyclist have been posted. Please stay alert and obey signage when traveling through this area.

• The contractor worked at the north side of Monroe Street NE Bridge within the construction zone, started pouring the first concrete deck. utility companies started relocation of electrical and communication cables on the bridge. There were no lane closures needed to complete concrete pours. All traffic was maintained with two open-lanes, eastbound and westbound.

• The contractor worked at the north side of Monroe Street NE Bridge within the construction zone, starting preparation for the first concrete deck pour. utility companies started relocation of electrical and communication cables on the bridge. There was a temporary closure of one lane of traffic on the Monroe Street NE Bridge from 12:00 am to 5:00 am on Friday, September 14, 2018; otherwise all traffic was maintained with two open-lanes eastbound and westbound.

• The contractor worked at the north side of Monroe Street NE Bridge within the construction zone, continuing form work and rebar installation for the concrete deck; completed sheer stud installation; continued new traffic signal work at 8th and 9th Street installing duct bank and completed trench backfill over the utility duct bank; and demolished existing sidewalk and backfilled. All traffic maintained with two open-lanes eastbound and westbound.
